A good melting of color is something I look for in a good film shot. When I first started shooting I loved the idea of buildings, but from different angles. That blossomed into me wanting to create a story with the colors in the shot. Most times the thing that stand out to me most was a good color story.
When I was in Palm Springs driving to Joshua Tree I couldn’t help but be inspired by the color palettes out in nature. The combination of earth tones made me want to go home and create jewelry or something with those colors. I made sure to photograph those both because I loved them and also because I wanted a reference photo for creating things when I got back to my studio.
These photos I’m sharing are the brighter ones. The bolder ones. The opposite of the neutral, earth tones. These also inspire me to step out of my comfort zone and embrace color a bit more.
