Once that chill hits your city it's best to be prepared. Maybe even overly prepared. I've talked before about how I feel pretty prepped for this upcoming winter, and I want all of you to be as well! I've rounded up my top 5 items I strongly believe everyone needs to survive these coming cold months
I recently thrifted an AMAZING camel coat and I nearly cried when I found it. A good camel coat has been on my radar for a really long time now. I could never really, truly find one that I fell in love with until I went thrifting and found it. Camel coats can be worn with almost everything. Also if you put a ton of time into a killer outfit, why not top it off with a coat you love? I always hate the idea of hiding a perfectly good outfit under a not so great coat.
I'm sure you can tell from the shoes I wear, I have a real thing for lace up boots. Boots have been my thing for a while, but the ones I gravitate to are always my boots that lace up. I just love how they look with a skinny jean and comfy sweater. You can also pair them with some fun socks and make it even more you're style.
Not only does your closet need love in the winter, your skin does too. I normally have pretty dry skin so I have a huge understanding of what products are out there that will help with that. My skin gets plenty dry in the winter so extra love from moisturizers and even masks are key. The moisturizer I have been using on the daily in Ole Henriksen Nurture Me. Not only does it moisturize like a champ, it smells amazing.
I really neglected the scarf game for a while. I always underestimated them, and yes I hated the idea of having to layer on another item. Now I can't get enough. Scarves can really make a huge difference in the cold, and they add something to every outfit. I stocked up on some neutral colors, but get crazy and get some patterns. I'm sure those will be my next purchase.
I live in sweaters in the winter. I get cold so easily, so the thicker the better. I really haven't done a ton of sweater shopping so I'll probably be doing that ASAP. I like to shop at the fast fashion stores like Forever 21 and H&M for sweaters each winter. They're inexpensive and always on trend. They also have great neutrals as well.
