Good hair is work. I’m still bitter that I ever cut my hair back in 2012, or more recently colored it. I was strong and went a few years with my natural color, then randomly wanted a different color. Impulsive MacKenzie at her finest.
I’ve been “attempting” to use less heat. I put that in quotations because I said July would be a little-to-no-heat month and I feel like I’m doing OK at it. I tend to style my hair just 2-3 times a week. It’s rough trying to not style it. If anyone has attempted this then you already know that dry shampoo is your best friend. Dry Bar has been my holy grail. They have a little bit of everything I need for specific days. One thing that I love is the dry conditioner. It’s perfect for people with drier ends that need a pick-me-up without being forced to wash or use heavy oils.
The foam dry shampoo is a new thing, but for someone with straight, flat hair it works wonders. It gives me just enough volume and helps with the tousled look I tend to go for.
Give Dry Bar a try, You can go to any Sephora and try it out or even to a Dry Bar location. That’s next on my list.
