DIY Eye Clutch

June 22, 2015
I will admit, this sequins has been collecting dust ever since I bought it. I knew what I wanted to use it for I just never went out and got the other supplies and also I’ve been on the road a lot. Although it’s long overdue I’m obsessed with the outcome of this project. I’ve spotted a lot of things with eyes on them, yes odd I know, but trends are weird like that. I put together this adorable DIY, so sit back, relax {but not really}, and create!
What you need:
– Clutch
– Sequins strands
– E6000 glue
– Scissors
1. Time to start creating the eye. I free-handed the outline of the eye by applying a dab of glue to the end of the sequins strand, worked it around to create the half oval shape, and glued the opposite side down. You can always fold a piece of paper in half and cut out an oval to use as a guide.
2. Once you have the shape the way you want it apply glue to the rest of the sections to keep it in place.
 3. Using the metallic silver follow around the outline you created with the black until you reach the middle, gluing down as you go. I used a wooden cuticle stick to apply the glue easier.
4. Going back to the black sequins, create the pupil in the center of the eye. I also added a few lashes to give it a little sass.
