New Year, New Resolutions

January 2, 2015
Now that everyone has been properly surprised I can tell you all that we took a road trip back to good ol’ Iowa for the New Year! I couldn’t be more excited to see family and friends for a little while, minus the snow and cold weather.
Happy New Year!
The beginning of a New Year calls for resolutions! I definitely haven’t stuck with a lot of them in the past. I do believe that if you strive for something and put all of your energy into it it’ll happen for you. Maybe not right away, but with time. 2015 already seems to me like it’s going to be a good year. I have a good schedule set for my blog and have been sticking to it. Here’s to another amazing year!
001. Get Personal. Although I started this blog a few years ago I don’t feel I truly have shared much about myself as I would like to! I’m going to attempt to post more about trips and fun things happening in my life outside of blogging!
002. Be Adventurous. I tend to stick to what I know, I’m a crazy homebody. Having the amazing privilege to live on the East Coast and experience all of the amazing sites and historical places is awesome. I want to at least visit a few more states or even make it all the way to Maine!
003. Try New Foods. M and I have bickered many times on where to eat. I’m sure many couples can attest to the usual IDC answer. I could eat at Chipotle everyday for the rest of my life, but that doesn’t sound so appealing to him. In the new year I want to try some foods I’ve never had before and go to restaurants I normally wouldn’t. We all know that will make my husband happy.
004. Be My True Self. I feel that the last year I really lost my true myself in blogging. I did the one thing I didn’t want to do and that was try to make everyone happy. I would look at other blogs and instantly think I needed to dress or do something just like them. I was completely wrong. For a while I hated that I was doing that I almost just stopped blogging, but I knew this was a love of mine so I couldn’t just give up. My goal with this next year is to forget about what others are doing and be myself, because we all know there is only one you!

005. Take More Photos. Being a blogger you would think I would take hoards of photos, but surprisingly I don’t. I want to start documenting more of my life so I can look back on them when I’m old and gray, heck maybe even become that lady that shares everything she does {ok maybe not that far}.
