HIDDEN POTENTIAL: Beauty Products

March 24, 2013

Every beauty product is good for something, and made for a specific thing, but I have found some beauty products that double or even triple for a different use!

✭ Vaseline Petroleum Jelly ✭

Vaseline can be used for so many things! I literally love this stuff for many reasons.

Lip Moisturizer - I love using Vaseline as a lip moisturizer, it is perfect, smooth and doesn't have any color so it's good for everyday. I always put it on after I brush my teeth and my lips stay moisturized all day!

Overnight Lash Moisturizer - When I feel my lashes have been dragging, I rub a little Vaseline on the lash line and the lashes themselves and sleep on it. When I wake up in the morning they seem refreshed and more full. Doing this a few times a week will also help with growth and strengthening them.

Foot Pick Me Up - I mainly do this when my feet are incredibly dry, rub Vaseline all over you feet and then put on some thick socks, let it do its magic for about 20 minutes and you will have smooth feet!

Skin Saver - When you have those days when you dye your hair at home, put Vaseline around your hairline to prevent your hair dye from dyeing your skin. Such a life saver!

✭ Sugar

Lip Scrub - To get rid of that that pesky dry skin on your lips, get your lips wet with some water and rub some sugar all over them. Once you get done your lips will feel so soft and a bit tingly!

✭ Coconut Oil

Hair Therapy - Coconut oil has been a life saver for my hair! I use it to help with my split end problems. Rub a little on your ends and let it sit for about an hour, your hair will feel amazing afterwards!

✭ Conditioner

Slick Legs - Instead of spending extra money on some shaving gel, using conditioner to shave will leave your legs feeling amazing and super smooth.

✭ Body Lotion

Makeup Be Gone - Lotion is a great substitute for removing eye makeup, just make sure it isn't a fragranced one and you don't get it in your eyes!

✭ Baking Soda

Whitening Time - Mixing some baking soda and either hydrogen peroxide or water and brushing it on your teeth is a quick whitener when your teeth are feeling drab.

✭ Lemons

Nice Fingers - If your nails have turned a dingy yellow from all of your frequent nail polish changes, mix some lemon juice with baking soda and water, soak your nails and it will help with brightening and whitening them back to white.

✭ Honey

Acne Be Gone - Use a mix of honey and milk as a cleanser to ease acne-prone skin

✭ Dryer Sheets

Smooth Out - Have those pesky fly aways? Rub a dryer sheet over your hair and it will help smooth them out!
